Hi! I am an IVADO-affiliated assistant professor in political science at the Université de Montréal. I hold a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
My research interests include public opinion, comparative and historical political economy and statistical methods. Most of my research studies social cohesion and structural inequalities. I also conduct research on urban policy-making using randomized controlled experiments and sensor-based data.
I’m a core team member of the Excellence Research Chair “Une Seule Santé Urbaine” and an affiliated researcher at the CAPFC, the CLESSN, PolitiCo, the CSDC-CÉCD, the FODEM, the GRCP, the CÉRIUM, the CCEAE and the Maison des Affaires Publiques et Internationales. I’m also a member of the scientific committee of the Canadian Journal of Political Science.
I am a member of IVADO’s research group on the implementation and governance of artificial intelligence.
I have also worked as an assistant professor in political science (quantitative methods) at Western University (2022-2025) and as a data scientist (2020-2022), among others at the City Lab Berlin, the Open Data Informationsstelle and Politics for Tomorrow. Some of my data science prototypes are available here.
You can enroll in my Interactive Visualization, Dashboards, and Apps with R and Shiny workshop at ICPSR during the summer.
I have previously held positions at the Research Chair on Democracy and Parliamentary Institutions, the Center for the Study of Public Policy, the Canadian Embassy in Berlin and the Quebec and Alberta provincial governments.
