Hi! I am an IVADO-affiliated assistant professor in political science at the Université de Montréal. I hold a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
My research interests include public opinion, comparative and historical political economy and statistical methods. Most of my research studies social cohesion and structural inequalities. I also conduct research on urban policy-making, mostly using randomized controlled experiments and sensor-based data.
I am an affiliated researcher at the CAPFC, the CLESSN and PolitiCo. I’m also a member of the scientific committee of the Canadian Journal of Political Science (French section).
I have also worked as an assistant professor in political science (quantitative methods) at Western University (2022-2025) and as a data scientist (2020-2022), among others at the City Lab Berlin, the Open Data Informationsstelle and Politics for Tomorrow. Some of my previous work includes a prototype to optimize electoral redistricting using digital tools, a prototype of shadow simulations and climate data analytics for the city of Berlin, and a complexity-level assessment tool for German-language texts.
You can enroll in my Interactive Visualization, Dashboards, and Apps with R and Shiny workshop at ICPSR during the summer.
I have previously held positions at the Research Chair on Democracy and Parliamentary Institutions, the Center for the Study of Public Policy, the Canadian Embassy in Berlin and the Quebec and Alberta provincial governments.
